Entrepreneurship & Management – Two Sides of the Same Coin

Published: September 28, 2020

Modern management theories and concepts have long advocated a silo approach. Today organizations are more of rigid boxes that define their boundaries rather than synergies. Job descriptions are more of a ruse to protect each one’s turf. Job descriptions rarely focus on results but are a compendium of activities. Totally inter-dependent departments view each other not as collaborators but born adversaries. Effective managers must have an entrepreneurial mindset just as an entrepreneur needs to exhibit managerial attributes. Entrepreneurial managership and managerial entrepreneurship are two sides of the same coin. One without the other is like consciousness without body or body without consciousness.
