While 80% of the food production for Africa & Asia comes from Small Holder farmers they suffer from a lack of finance and timely inputs. In many instances, donor funding does not reach the bottom of the pyramid. How to identify entrepreneurship, Trainability and Creditworthiness among the farmers is a question that needs answers. Here is a presentation that outlines a innovative approach of using Psychometric profiling for identifying entrepreneurship and creditworthiness. EcoDev has designed and developed a unique tool called mpower-u that objectively, precisely and quantitatively measures ‘enterprising capabilities’, ‘trainability’ and ‘credit worthiness attributes’ using a combination of behavioural economics, neuroscience/ psychometry and data science with a high degree of accuracy and reliability. The mpower-u tool has identified, through a combination of secondary research and field testing, a set of traits that express enterprising capabilities, trainability and creditworthiness that can be measured through a well-calibrated test backed up by a statistical model. The video shares the details about the instrument and its application in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, Bangladesh and India.
