Dr. Mahendra Mehta is Managing Director of Neural Technologies and Software private limited. (NeuralTechSoft) based in Mumbai (India). He is involved in consultancy and teaching in finance, AI, ML. His main focus is financial mathematics, risk analytics and management, development of policies and processes in financial services. In the last 20 years, he has given more than 100 seminars on various topics in over 20 countries. The company has completed several assignments involving consultancies, including in BASEL II & III, ICAAP, Treasury re-organization, Stress Testing, balance sheet optimization, etc. The company has developed several specialized stock option and savings plans for large organizations on a turnkey basis. He was head of Analytics at Citibank, NA, Mumbai (India) involved in the development of machine-based trading strategies in Foreign exchange, interest rate products. He and his team developed an autonomous trading machine to automatically trade in the financial markets. He was also involved in the development and implementation of Market risk Management practice within Citibank in CEEMEA region. Before joining Citibank, He worked with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Hyderabad (India) for fifteen years. He was responsible for design & development of several Avionics systems which includes, Light Combat Aircraft radar systems, precession approach radar, radar altimeter, identification friend or foe etc. During his tenure at HAL, he worked in Italy, UK, France & Sweden. He wrote several research papers in estimation sciences & theory as applied to avionics and space sciences. He was also leading a team of design engineers, working closely with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, involved in the development of on-board a computer for “Prithvi” Missile – medium range surface to surface missile. Dr Mahendra Mehta received a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai (India). Among other places, he has also taught at London Business School and was a guest faculty at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland. He taught Financial markets, Mathematics & Financial Engineering. He has also taught at IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, ISB, Hyderabad, S P Jain School of Management etc. He has written several research papers in Engineering science and Finance. He has contributed to the book entitled “Neural Networks in the Capital Markets” published by Wiley & sons.
